Most online courses require textbooks. Textbooks can be purchased from TextStyles, SEARK College bookstore. Students not having a textbook will not be accepted as a legitimate reason for beginning classwork late and/or missing course deadlines unless TextStyles do not have the requested textbook in inventory at the time you register. Registration dates and bookstore inventory can be verified. Students who choose to purchase their textbooks from other textbook vendors do so at the risk of receiving the wrong textbook and/or experiencing a delay in receiving their textbook(s), which will not be an acceptable reason for beginning classwork late and/or missing course deadlines.

On-line students must activate and use their g-mail accounts; instructions are contained in the orientation information. This is the system instructors use to contact you about course issues, you are responsible for the content of these e-mails. If you do not check your g-mail, you will still be held responsible for content sent by your instructors. Do not change your e-mail address in your Moodle Profile from the @student.seark.edu format. There are two reasons: 1) many other e-mail addresses are not supported by our system, this means you will not get the e-mail from your instructor and 2) your e-mail address is used to double check that you are the student to be placed in a particular class. Many students have similar names that can only be differentiated by your student ID number; your e-mail address is the only information that can be matched to both your name and student ID#.
